Winners of Block and District Level Science Seminar 2024
Rishita Rawat of Class 9 has made our school proud by winning both the Block and District Level Science Seminars 2024. Competing on the topic "AI: Potential and Concerns," she secured 1st place at the district level and will now represent Pithoragarh at the State Level Science Seminar on September 12, 2024, at DIET, Bageshwar. We congratulate Rishita on her outstanding achievements and extends our best wishes for her success in the upcoming competition.
Achievements in Various Olympiads (Zonal Rank Holders)
Four students from Gen BC Joshi APS Pithoragarh have brought great honor to our school by securing top zonal positions in various Olympiads. Rishita Rawat, Class IX A, won the Bronze Medal in the Cyber Olympiad and received a ₹1000 gift voucher. Pratiksha Upadhyay, Class XI D, secured the 9th Rank (Zonal) in the Science Olympiad and was awarded a ₹500 gift voucher. Nitin Shahi, Class XI B, achieved the 6th Position in the Social Science Olympiad and received a ₹500 gift voucher. Sehaj P Gedam, Class X C, secured the 10th Position in the Social Science Olympiad and was awarded a ₹500 gift voucher.
Participation in NCC All India RCTC 2024 & Gold Medal in Anchoring. (21-30 June 2024)
Four NCC cadets Cadet Priyanshi (Class XII D), Cadet Siya (Class X E), Cadet Abhanshu Solanki (Class X E), and Cadet Modit Karki (Class X C) from General BC Joshi Army Public School participated and excelled in the RCTC 2024 held in Pithoragarh. The event was organized by the 80 UK Battalion NCC Pithoragarh. Cadets, from 9 Directorates from all over India participated in the Event. From the Uttarakhand Directorate Cadet Priyanshi stood out by clinching the Gold Medal & Cadet Modit Karki participated in a rock climbing competition and clenched a bronze medal.
WINNERS- CENTRAL COMMAND CLUSTER-III HINDI DEBATE COMP 2024
Gen BC Joshi Army Public School emerged victorious in the prestigious Central Command Cluster-III Hindi Debate Competition 2024, held in the third week of July and organized by APS Clement Town. The school's Hindi Debating team brought laurels to the institution with their outstanding performance. Congratulations to the talented winners for their remarkable achievement!
Pratiksha Upadhyay - DISTRICT TOPPER (CBSE CLASS X BOARD EXAMS)
Pratiksha Upadhyay, a student of Class X, has achieved outstanding academic success with an overall percentage of 98.4%. Demonstrating excellence across all subjects, she has secured the first rank in the district, making her the district topper. Her subject-wise scores are exemplary, with perfect marks in Mathematics Standard (100) and consistently high scores in all other subjects, including English Language and Literature (98) , Hindi Course-B (98), Science (98), Social Science(98), and Artificial Intelligence(98). Pratiksha's performance reflects her dedication, hard work, and academic prowess. She has shown remarkable proficiency, particularly in Mathematics where she scored 100 out of 100, highlighting her analytical and problem-solving skills. Congratulations to Pratiksha Upadhyay on this commendable achievement!
Winners - Central Command (Under 17 Boys) Basketball Tournament 2024
Gen BC Josh Army Public School in Pithoragarh triumphed in the Central Command U-17 Boys Basketball Tournament, held from May 1st to May 11th, 2024. They showcased their skills and teamwork, clinching the championship title. APS Mhou secured the first runners-up position, while APS Allahabad grabbed the second runners-up spot. The tournament was a thrilling display of sportsmanship and talent, with teams competing fiercely for victory. Congratulations to Gen BC Josh Army Public School Pithoragarh for their impressive win, and kudos to all participating teams for their spirited performances on the court.
Winners - Central Command Junior Girls (Under 17) Football Tournament 2024 (Cluster-6)
The Girls Football Team of Gen BC Joshi APS Pithoragarh won the Cluster-6 Football Tournament held at APS Ranikhet in April 2024. The school extends its heartfelt congratulations to the team for their remarkable victory. The school commends the team for their outstanding efforts and also commends the Football coach and the Department of Physical Education for their guidance and support.

Master Manas Pandey- National Level Mountain Cyclist

Master Manas Pandey of class XII participated in 20TH NATIONAL MOUNTAIN BIKE CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP held at Panchkula Haryana between 28 to 31 March 2024. He participated from team Uttarakhand and clinched a coveted spot within the top 10 ranks. Best wishes to the emerging cyclist!

Celebrating Innovation at GEN BC Joshi APS Pithoragarh
We're thrilled to announce that two of our students, Yajat Punetha and Rishita Rawat from Class VIII C, have been selected for the prestigious INSPIRE award MANAK scheme by the Department of Science and Technology (DBT)! Yajat's idea focuses on the “Futuristic Integration of Human Detection in Street Lights”, while Rishita's project centers around “Landslide Prevention and Detection”. Their innovative ideas have earned them a scholarship of Rs 10,000 each and a spot in the District Level Exhibition and Project Competition (DLEPC). Out of 5 registered ideas from our school, having 2 selected is a testament to their hard work and dedication. The School Congratulates, Yajat and Rishita, on this remarkable achievement.

Winners of Interschool Quiz and Debate Competition

The Quiz Team of Gen BC Joshi Army Public School Pithoragarh comprising Master Sujal Chand (XI D) and Narendra Singh (XI D) participated in Interschool Quiz Competition and secured I position. The English Debate Team comprising Miss Priyanshi (XI D) and Miss Prachi Joshi (XI D) participated in Interschool Debate Competition and secured II positions. Miss Priyanshi also won the ‘BEST SPEAKER for the Motion Award’. These Events were conducted by 13O INF (BN) ECO KUMAON on the occasion of WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY. The School Management and staff congratulated the winners.

Master Harshit Pals’ Painting was displayed on NDA Expo, 27 May 2023

Master Harshit Pal, a class IX student of Gen BC Joshi Army Public School Pithoragarh has been shortlisted for Level 2 and he was one among the 55 shortlisted contestants from all over India whose artwork was displayed during the NDA Expo held on 27 May 2023.

Arunima Pant (NCC Cadet) Pariticipated in RD Parade 2023

Miss Arunima Pant, a class IX student brought laurel to school by getting selected for NCC RD Parade. She participated in the decorated RD Parade held on 26 Jan on the auspicious occasion of 74th Republic Day Celebration.

Excellence in School Leadership Award

Moments of Pride and Euphoria for Gen BC Joshi Army Public School, Pithoragarh as The Principal, Mr Vinod K Bhama, got honoured with the "Excellence in School Leadership Award" by Dr Ranber Singh, Joint Secretary/ Regional Officer, CBSE, Dehradun Region, on 04 Feb, 2023, thus adding another feather in the cap of Gen BC Joshi Army Public School. Mr Bhama received this award for his dedicated and meritorious services in the field of school education.



The felicitation programme was organised by Devbhoomi Sahodaya School Complex Haldwani, on 04 Feb 2023, in Haldwani (Nainital). The principal owes this achievement to the School Management, Staff, Parents and Students, and extends his gratitude to all concerned for the accolades in his career as an eminent educator.

INTRA-CLUSTURE ENGLISH DEBATE(I POS) AND QUIZ COMP (II POS)

English Debate Team of the school secured 1st Position in Intra-Cluster English Debate Competition-2022 held at APS Gorakhpur on 1 Aug 2022. The Topic of the Debate was - "There A Need to Correct the Distortion and Misinterpretation of Indian History?" And the Quiz team secured 2nd position by scoring 130 pts in the Intra-Cluster Quiz Competition held online by APS Gorakhpur.

Lakshika Rawa is Now a National Level Shooter

Lakshika Rawat, a class XII student once again brought laurels to school by participating in 65th National Shooting Competition in 10m Air Rifle (Women) Category held from 20-Nov-2022 to 09-Dec-2022 in Thituvanthapuram, Kerala and becoming a National Level Shooter. Her next step is to be a part of the Indian Shooting Team. She also won the Bronze Medal in NCC National Level Inter-Directorate Sports Shooting Competition in the same category, held in July 2022.

MUN Best Delegate Award

Master Piyush Kanyal won the best delegate of AIPPM (ALL INDIA POLITICAL PARTIES MEET) as CM of the Punjab, during Model United Nations (MUN), held at APS Noida on 22-23 July, 2022.

NCC-IDS SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022

Lakshika Rawat, a class-XII student, won bronze medal in NCC INTER-DIRECTORATE SPORTS SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 held at Chandigarh from 05-15 July, 2022.
